We are approachable. Clients, potential clients, and colleagues in the field are welcome to contact us on a confidential basis in order to discuss their immigration matters. Matters discussed with one of our immigration lawyers are subject to solicitor/client privilege. This means that the information provided to one of our lawyers is confidential and cannot be disclosed to anyone else without your consent.
When we act for corporations and their employees, both the employer and the employee are our clients. Therefore, we have professional obligations to both clients. This is a unique relationship which we explain before proceeding. At the outset of the matter we ask the employee to sign a “Privacy Agreement”. The Privacy Agreement authorizes our professionals to speak to the employee’s employer about their application. In the event a conflict arises between the employer and the employee, we will stop work on the matter in order to secure the consent of both parties to continue to act. These can be difficult situations; however, because we are prepared for these potential issues, they are dealt with professionally while minimizing the risk to either client, and ensuring each client’s interests are addressed.
